“He says, ‘I will do it for you. Why do you worry? I will do it for you. I am God. I am Jehovah. I am your righteousness. I am your provider. I am your healer. I am your banner of victory. I am your shepherd. I am your peace. I am your everything.’
“If God is all this to us, then there is no reason why anybody should be downhearted in this hour. If God could make a world out of nothing, why can’t He make anything He wants now for His people? God invites us to see Him at work.”

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.Isaiah 55:8-9
Do you ever struggle with letting go and letting God? It sounds simple enough until everything you hold dear is at stake. I am no exception to the struggle. When you’ve been let down by others, it’s hard to remember that God is actually the only one who is trustworthy. He truly wants what is best for me even when it’s not what I want.
There are many times God said no to something I prayed for that I am now grateful for beyond measure. So, how do we deal with the anxiety, especially in a chaotic world? We focus on what God will do.
He Will Do It Again
Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as the streams in the south. They that sow in tears shall reap in joy. He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
Psalm 126:4-6
The first thing to do is remember what God has done. Start making a list of all the good things God has done for you. How has he blessed you? How has he provided for you? How has he rescued you? If he has done it for you before, he will do it again.
He Will Do Something New
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
Isaiah 43:18-19
Something else to remember is that God also does new things. He takes what is barren and dry and fills it with new life. Your life is not hopeless. God can and will do something new, but it will be on his timeline not ours.
He Will Do More
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us
Ephesians 3:20
Finally, don’t try to limit God. I often ask for specific things, but I usually try to add the caveat that if He has something better, then I am open to receive it. Sometimes we are begging for something that is so small in comparison to what He wants to give us that we miss out on the greater blessing.
God is trustworthy. In a world that is constantly letting us down, that is hard to believe. Yet, if we remember what He has done and be willing to open our hearts, we can be ready to receive the immeasurable spiritual blessings He has for us.
